COMMUNITY DIALOGUE CONCERNING NEW SENIOR CENTER LOCATION FOR HENRY COUNTY

The various elementary buildings in the Napoleon Area School district will be vacated sometime around 2016; but there is already dialogue underway about how to dispose of those properties.   The Henry County Senior Center is interested in obtaining the CD Brillhart building; and the city of Napoleon would like to keep the grounds for soccer fields, and the gymnasium for activities.   So that has brought together officials from the senior center, city of Napoleon, Henry County Commissioners, and the Napoleon Schools.   One of the issues to be decided before a purchase can be discussed, is asbestos removal costs.  A study will determine an estimated expense for that removal; and then the sides can discuss any price tags.     All sides have been working together for the good of the community.
