CONSTRUCTION AHEAD IN 2014 FOR NAPOLEON
With Scott Street and East Riverview now open to traffic after long construction seasons in Napoleon; the last thing motorists want to hear about is the 2014 construction plans for the city. Napoleon Council discussed how they could shorten the construction window for projects on the drawing board, like Appian Avenue and Northcrest Circle. Doing the project in phases might help drivers in the short-term, but it adds massive dollars to the project cost. So council will try and bid these projects out with a tighter construction schedule. Plans on Park Street include a complete rebuild of that roadway, with design likely in 2014, and construction more likely in 2016. And there are plans for installation of a sewer interceptor behind the lots on West Maumee toward the river side in the next year.
