Imagine turning vegetable waste from local food producing companies into electricity?   And the manure produced at local dairy farms, generating the power to turn-on the lights for thousands of homes in the region.

            That’s the idea behind a biogas digester project that’s nearly complete adjacent to the Campbell Soup Company plant in Napoleon.  CH4 Biogas is leading the construction, under the direction of Brent Damman.   Company spokesperson Lauren Torretta says contracts are in place to get rolling in the near future.  The biogas digester is utilized more frequently in Europe.  But this proto-type in Napoleon may lead to more construction of units throughout the U.S.
