DEFIANCE COUNTY 9-1-1 DIRECTOR FORCED OUT
The director of the 9-1-1 emergency telephone system in Defiance County has been terminated due to falsification of travel expense documents. Defiance County prosecuting attorney Morris Murray reports Carol Armitage has been relieved of her duty. The termination agreement states that Armitage would provide restitution to Defiance County; and she would leave her office. The pact further states that no further action will be pursued in the matter. The amount of restitution for the travel expense was under $100; and there was a settlement reached in other issues regarding longevity and vacation pay.
