FULTON COUNTY STILL HAVING TROUBLE WITH LEACHATE AT LANDFILL

The Fulton County Commissioners reviewed notification from the Ohio EPA, that the former landfill site was in violation of leachate outbreaks on October 30th.   The EPA discovered in an inspection that water levels of liquid runoff were elevated, and pumps were not turned-on.   That led to lagoon levels being higher than the 6-foot depth allowed.  Fulton County has 14 days to respond to this violation; and commissioners have ordered more frequent hauling of leachate to lower the lagoon level.

A change-order was approved on a bridge project on road 10 being completed by the RG Zachrich Company.  That change-order reduces the cost of the project by nearly $5,000.

And the report from the Fulton County Treasurer indicated interest revenue earned on county funds has topped $240,000 so far this year.
