HENRY COUNTY COMMISSIONERS REVIEW BLOCK GRANT APPLICATIONS

 

 

 

The Henry County Commissioners reviewed 7 project applications for block grant money that is distributed by the state.   The list of applicants includes the city of Napoleon, seeking $30,000 for a street improvement project; Ridgeville Township is applying for $30,000 to create a parking lot; the village of Liberty Center is seeking $17,500 for the demolition of two blighted properties.   The Henry County block grant applications include the village of McClure applying for $23,500 for street improvements; the village of Deshler is seeking $10,000 to help pay for park and recreation improvements; the village of Malinta has requested $21,400 for flood and drainage improvements on Henry Street; and Pathstone is applying for $45,400 to help pay for water facility improvements at the Migrant Rest Center.    The Henry County Commissioners will review these grants, and likely distribute the $60,000 alottment among three projects.  $15,000 in the block grant program goes for administrative expenses from Maumee Valley Planning Organization.
