HENRY COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SEND LEVY FOR COUNTRYVIEW HAVEN TO NOVEMBER BALLOT

The Henry County Commissioners have approved a resolution that would place a levy on the ballot to provide financial support for Countryview Haven.  The proposal is a 1.6 mill levy, covering the next three years, to provide funding for maintaining and operating the county home in HenryCounty.   This issue would go before voters in the November general election.

Commissioners approved a draw of over $34,400 from the Ohio Development Services, to help provide a grant to a low to moderate income home owner in the McClure area, for rehabilitation of their residence.

An executive session was held to interview persons interested in the HenryCounty deputy dog warden position.   No action was taken.                        Another interview was held for the vacant part-time custodial position in HenryCounty.  Again no action was taken.

And the Henry County Commissioners got an update from the state auditor’s office on a ‘share-Ohio’ program, which provides a one-stop shop to help communities share resources and save tax dollars.   An example is equipment used by the highway department that could be used for multiple counties, rather than every county purchasing this equipment.
