HENRY COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TOUR INDUSTRIAL DRIVE FOR CHANGES
The Henry County Commissioners have toured the site of a proposed alteration of Industrial Drive in Napoleon, that could pave-the-way for a new bridge over the Maumee River. That alteration would help Industrial Drive line-up better for a crossing that would span the river, and link with state route 110 near the Campbell Soup Plant, just west of county road 12, on the south side. The Henry County Engineer’s office is today submitting the final feasibility study for the second river bridge in Napoleon, to the Ohio Department of Transportation. The estimated cost for this bridge would likely range between 16.2 and 19.2 million dollars. A big chunk of the design cost for this bridge has already been committed to the project. But paying for construction costs is still very much up-in-the-air. It is not on the ODOT ‘trac-list’; although some state funding is committed.
The Henry County Engineer’s office would set-up a public meeting for input from local residents, if this feasibility study is approved by ODOT. A public hearing is scheduled for October 24th in the office of Henry County Commissioners, to gather input about the alteration of Industrial Drive, to help make this project happen. It is scheduled for .
