The Henry County Humane Society is making plans to down-size; and are looking for a new facility that better suits their needs. That means the agency will be trying to sell their building on Independence Drive; and ramp-up other fund-raising activities, and search for grant possibilities.
The Humane Society is currently unable to offer shelter services; but they hope to make that happen in the future. They will continue to push the spaying and neutering program for pets; to curtail the increase in the dog and cat population. The Henry County group is renewing their efforts to catch stray cats, and have them spayed or neutered. As far as fund-raising, the Humane Society bingo nights continue to be successful on Mondays. But some new activities are planned for 2014. And the Henry County Humane Society will work even harder to help families reunite with their lost pets in northwest Ohio.
