The city of Napoleon reminds residents about a couple of important services for the fall.   Fire hydrant flushing is underway, now through October 25thFlushing in the downtown area will be Friday, October 25th from midnight till 8am, and will include areas of North Scott, Becklee Drive and Bonaparte Drive.              This fire hydrant flushing is necessary to ensure they are working property for fire protection, to verify flow and location of hydrants, and to pull fresh water through the system.

Napoleon is again offering curbside leaf vacuuming services for senior citizens, those who are disabled, and Golden Buckeye Cardholders.   Qualified residents should send a letter of request to the city operations department by November 8th, to post office box 151.   All residents will be notified by letter, if they are approved for the vacuum service.

            And the city of Napoleon will be collecting bagged leaves left at the curb, beginning Monday, November 18th, through Friday of that week.  Residents should have bagged leaves at the curb by 7am on November 18th.  Leaves may also be dropped-off in bulk form at the city’s yard waste facility on Oakwood Avenue.
