LIBERTY CENTER SCHOOL BOARD APPROVES TRACK COACHES

The Liberty Center school board has approved a move to apply for blizzard bags to help students make-up calamity days.  The administration will now apply to the Ohio Department of Education; which will help cut into the 13 days Liberty Center students have been out of classes.

Several residents approached the school board concerning the Liberty Center track program, and following an executive session; the board hired coaches for the spring sports season.   Pam Righi will move from coach in the junior high program, to assistant with the high school track squad.

It’s been about three years since the Liberty Center schools instituted a drug testing policy for extra curricular and co-curricular students.  And over that span, no student has tested positive for drugs.   The district also has a policy if any parent wants their student tested; that can be done.

And the Liberty Center board approved the appointment of district treasurer Carla Rice to the local tax incentive review council.
