NEW CLERK HIRED BY HENRY COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

There will be a new clerk in the office of Henry County Commissioners, beginning March 10th.   That’s when Lisa Sugg of Deshler will take-over those duties; replacing Vicki Glick, who is retiring after more than 25 years working in Henry County.  Glick’s last day on the job will be this Friday.

Sugg will begin at a salary of just over $35,000.

The Henry County Commissioners have approved a ten-year contract extension for the lease of the fairgrounds property, to the Henry County Agriculture Society.   There is no change to the current lease.

Four new vehicles for the Henry County Sheriff’s office should be rolling into Henry County in the months ahead.   Two of the units are 2014 Ford utility interceptors, at a cost of just over $25,500 each.   The other two vehicles are 2014 Ford sedan police interceptors at about $$23,500 each.    The vehicles are being purchased through state contract with a Van Wert company, at a total cost of over $98,000.

And two new appointments were announced to the Maumee Valley Planning Organization executive council.  They are Commissioner Bob Hastedt, and Monroe Township trustee Kent Badenhop.
