9-Year-Old's $20 Gift Grows To $1-MILLION And Now You Will Want To 'Pay It Forward' Too!

(Toledo, OH via WSPD.com) -- Myles Eckert, the 9 year old boy, who made internet news a few weeks ago when he did a simple act of kindness found out just how far paying it forward can go today.  Myles, his mother Tiffany and his family were guests on the Ellen show today along with Lt. Col. Frank Daily of the Air National Guard. Myles had found $20 in a restaurant parking lot when he saw Daily in uniform enjoying a meal. Eckert wrote a heartfelt note about losing his soldier father in Iraq and his belief in “paying it forward” along with the $20 explaining to Daily that “today is your lucky day”.  Watch the video from The Ellen DeGeneres Show, below.

The story was covered by CBS news, The Blaze, N.Y. Daily News and others across the country. The Ellen show invited the family to California for an appearance with the popular talk show host, and in a surprise gesture awarded Myles with a check for $20,000 written out to Snowball Express, an organization that helps children who have lost parents in the military. At the same time Highland Capital Management announced a $1M challenge grant. The company will match any funds donated to Snowball Express between now and Memorial day up to $1M.
